The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency and former Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Eugene Boakye Antwi has said mere slogans created by the NPP cannot break the 8.
According to him, the party cannot be chanting mere slogans and not work towards it if they are so desirous to ‘break the 8’ and remain in government.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ program, he said they ought to be familiar with their own resources and, even more fundamentally, weaknesses in the methodology the 2024 general elections
“The selection should not be based on any sloganeering phenomenon but on the need to choose a candidate who has the greatest chance of defeating any threat,” he stated.
He added that the initiative of the party should lead a far reaching SWOT analysis to assess their 2024 chances of ‘Breaking the 8’.
