It was a night of glitz, glamour, and celebration of Ghanaian music as the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) came to a close.

The event, which was held on Saturday, May 6, saw some of Ghana’s top musicians being recognized for their outstanding contributions to the music industry.

One of the most highly coveted awards of the night was the Artiste of the Year award, which was won by Black Sherif.

The rising star beat out other top contenders such as Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, and Adina to win the prestigious award.

Black Sherif, who rose to fame with his hit single “Second Sermon,” has quickly become one of Ghana’s most sought-after musicians. The young artist’s unique blend of hip-hop and afro beats has won him fans across the country and beyond.

Upon receiving the award, Black Sherif expressed his gratitude to God, his parents, and his fans for their support. He also thanked the VGMA organizers for recognizing his work and giving him the opportunity to showcase his talent on such a big platform.
