Madam Fatima Salifu, a Community Health Nurse at Dormaa-Sub of the Dormaa Central Municipal Health Directorate in the Bono Region has advised Ghanaians to refrain from excessive consumption of overly spicy foods.

Speaking in a discussion on Dormaa Ahenkro-based GIFTs FM, She noted that food plays a vital role in the health of every individual therefore it is necessary to consume foods from a hygienic environment to ensure the consumption of rich and nutritious foods to enhance the immune system stressing that consuming excessive spicy foods can bring several harmful effects to health.

Madam Fatima Salifu revealed her efforts in ensuring the maximization of effective health in Dormaa Ahenkro and its enclaves by embarking on a series of free Health Screening programs which is geared towards the early detection of diseases among people and its corresponding preventive measures to avoid unforeseen circumstances and other casualties.

She said the health screening exercise commenced in 2023 and it persists with everyone being a target denoting that the screening is carried out based on the dominating ailment at a given period to ensure the dangers and spread of diseases are contained at the early stages.
