The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has served notice to begin holding the Minister for Justice and Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame accountable for his actions and decisions relative to the advice he has given on some judgment debt issues.

National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi said it has come to the attention of the NDC how the Attorney-General gave advice on some particular judgment debts which they believe to be problematic.

Very soon, he said, these matters will be explained to the media and the entire public.

Addressing journalists after accompanying the Minority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson who is facing trial in court, on Thursday, July 6, Sammy Gyamfi said “we will go through this and we will come out successfully but one thing is certain, the day of reckoning, the day of accountability for Godfred Yeboah Dame is coming.

“In fact, that day will not come after the 2024 elections, that day will come soon because very soon we will be holding his feet to the fire of accountability.

“His conduct as an Attorney-General particularly in relation to his advice and recommendations on some matters of judgment debts have come to our attention and in the coming days, we will be addressing you in the media and by extension the good people of this country on these issues.

“We will be putting incontrovertible facts about the conducts of this Attorney-General and Minister for Justice which are inimical to the interest of the state  and let us see what you will have to say about that.”
