An aspiring Member of Parliament for Nkwanta North constituency in the Oti Region, Joseph Kwaku Nayan has chosen the Number 3 slot on the ballot for the December 2, 2023 upcoming New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary primaries.
After the vetting and subsequent balloting, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Commission picked Number 3 position on the ballot paper.
The former Member of Parliament was accompanied by dozens of party supporters and sympathizers to the vetting grounds which took place at the Oti Regional Capital, Dambai.
In his remarks, Hon Nayan called on delegates to remain focus and support him to bring back the fortunes of the party in the Nkwanta North constituency.
“I’ve an unfinished business that need to be completed. the NDC has failed us in this constituency and this is the time my hardworking delegates need to push me to capture the seat for our party”.
According to him ‘’I am not here for the camera, but to serve from a place of love for the voiceless, our children and struggling parents. Please pick up your phone and call the delegate you know in Nkwanta North to join the winning team and the selfless man ready to deliver JKN #3’’.
Mr Nayan is facing tight competition with the 2020 parliamentary candidate, Ben Nador with one other strong Lawyer, as the race for who becomes the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nkwanta North Constituency turns into a battleground.
The CEO believes his appointment has connected him to the top with high influence to lobby for the projects that will change the face of the constituency.
“I’m connected than before and I’ll use that to influence development in this District, the delegates should know that you need a strong root in governance, party and parliament before you can lobby for what your people need”
“I’m ready to serve my people and I’m urging them to vote number 3 #Asieeho”, he added.
