Dr. Nana Agyemang Prempeh, a parliamentary candidate hopeful for the NDC in the Tano South constituency has indicated that the NDC has stayed in opposition in the Tano South constituency for a longer period which according to him shouldn’t have been the case hence his intention to contest in the upcoming primaries to ensure he secures the seat back for NDC.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with newsmen, Dr. Nana Agyemang Prempeh who is also a Senior lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural resource (UENR) – Sunyani explained that it is time for NDC to choose a candidate who can be a reliable parliamentary candidate and thereon win the parliamentary seat on the ticket of NDC in the general elections because the party over some eight years now have remained in opposition in the Tano South constituency and so he is the candidate to take over the seat from NPP.

He emphasized that he will stay in complete unity with party executives and supporters and ensure he works hard to capture the parliamentary and presidential seat for NDC in the Tano South constituency

He added that he has heard of other personalities within the constituency who have shown interest in the parliamentary seat because it is a vacant seat that any qualified candidate can occupy.

He implored the delegates to ensure he is voted for to become their parliamentary candidate because the 2024 elections will be tougher as against the NPP but with him *Dr. Nana Agyemang Prempeh,* the NDC can defeat NPP both in the general elections.

 

He finally revealed that this has not been his first attempt to contest the seat because he commenced his ambitions in 2016 when he was convinced to step aside as well as in 2020 therefore he sees this year as the best year for him to lead the party to triumph over NPP hence he is optimistic and confident about his decisions.

He explains that he is coming as a unifier with quality leadership skills and a sociable administration where all and sundry can approach the office of the MP with their grievance and be dealt with as expected.
