Europe-based Ghanaian Who Placed Bet on Ken Agyapong Win Runs In Snow After Defeat

A Europe-based Ghanaian supporter of Kennedy Agyapong, Real Malopia has run for 200 meters in snow after his candidate lost the New Patriotic Party(NPP) primaries.

This is after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia defeated his preferred candidate by obtaining 118,210 votes representing 61.47% beating Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a Member of Parliament for Assin Central who obtained 71,996 votes representing 37.41%. Former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie-Akoto garnered 1,459 votes representing 0.76% while Francis Addai-Nimoh polled 781 votes representing 0.41%.

The social media user Real Malopia said he promised to run for 200 meters in the snow if Kennedy Agyapong Lost.

On Saturday evening, Kennedy Agyapong conceded defeat to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia said he is ready to help the NPP to retain power come 2024.

He said, “I believe the party has been fair. This is what I’ve been always preaching… I pledge my support that we are going to work tirelessly to break the 8. So we should put everything behind us.

“With unity, I believe we can break the 8…I want to assure you that in 2024 the showdown is being transferred to the NDC. We have to work together to give the NDC a showdown,”
