C/R:Dr James Kofi Annan hailed for giving GHC31,000 To Support John Mahama’s Campaign & Other Pressing Needs Of the Party In the Effutu Constituency

The Effutu 2020 Parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),Dr James Kofi Annan has donated a whopping amount of GHC31,000 to aid various activities of the umbrella fraternity ahead of John Mahama’s Campaign in the Central Region.

This was announced by the Constituency Secretary of the party, Mr Abraham Henry Arthur in a press statement issued today.

According to the said statement,an amount of GHC10,000 was provided to pay for the logistics and transportation of delegates from the rural communities in anticipation of the visit of the Ex.President John Mahama into the constituency tomorrow, 28th of March, 2023.

The release also detailed that, GHC18,000 was given out to care of the 18 electoral areas within the Constituency to commence their preparation towards the likely limited registration exercise by the Electoral Commission, in the punch of the forthcoming District Assembly elections.

The press statement further disclosed that,an amount of GHC3000 was disbursed for some immediate needs of party members who were present during the meeting inline with the John Mahama’s visit to central region.

Party faithfuls, stakeholders and members of the NDC heaped praises and admiration on Dr. James Kofi Annan, adding that, the party is most grateful to him for his generous sponsors for the party at this crucial time.

The statement concluded that “As a constituency, we continue to be grateful to Dr. James Kofi Annan, for his daily support to the party since the immediate aftermath of the 2020 elections, giving scholarships to several hundreds each year, paying medical bills, supporting those bereaved, paying for all party activities, and providing strategic advice to the leadership of the party.

“As a constituency, we have also noted with pride the active role Dr. James Kofi Annan is playing at the Central Regional level of the John Mahama’s campaign. Apart from him being in charge of Communications and Spokesperson for the Regional Campaign Team for John Mahama, we have observed the numerous donations he is making, both in cash and in kind, towards the effort the region is making to ensure 100% victory for President John Dramani Mahama in the Central Region”

“The constituency wishes to encourage him to continue to stand by the party despite the challenges confronting him.”
