Mr. Charles Akwasi Asiedu, the NDC parliamentary candidate hopeful for Tano South Constituency in the Ahafo region has on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, filed his nomination forms to contest in the upcoming party’s presidential and parliamentary primaries.

 

In an interaction with the media, he indicated that he deemed it necessary to contest because how he is well-known in the party as a result of his hard work, and dedicated contributions from the grassroot level to the national level.

 

Explaining his contributions to the party, he stated that he has held a lot of positions to support the party at the branch level, constituency, regional, and national levels hence he considered this as a glorious opportunity to contest for the MP seat to be able to rescue the people of Tano south constituency from the current impoverish governance from the president and his MP in the constituency.

 

He indicated that the Tano South constituency needs a young and energetic leader who can rescue the youths from their plight in this current hardship we face as a nation.

 

He said members of parliament are entitled to a lot of funds that are meant for the development of their constituency which includes the MP’s Common Fund, Getfund, Health insurance Fund, and MP’s social intervention Fund but these funds under the leadership of the current MP (Hon. Benjamin Owusu Sekyere) hasn’t impacted the municipal hence he is the right person to teach the NDC and Tano South to seek more development for the municipality with the collaborations and connections he has with the national executives.
