You’re wasting your time if the Bible is your guide – Kyiri Abosom to Christians

Founder and Leader of the Ghana Union Movement, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly called Osofo Kyiri Abosom says whoever makes the Bible his guide in life is wasting his or her time.

According to the controversial Pastor, the Bible is a mere recording of historical events and nothing more.

Speaking on Ghana Kasa show on Kasapa 102.5FM Wednesday February 7, 2024, Osofo Kyiri Abosom encouraged Christians to rather rely on the spirit which lives in them to guide their lives.

”I believe in the Bible, but it is a record of historical events. It does not contain any spirit. If you allow the Bible to be your guide, you are wasting your time. Because the things recorded in the Bible happened in somebody’s era which is several thousands years ago. If the Bible is your guide, then clothe yourself with sheep skin as the people in the Bible used to do. There is always a time for everything, God did what is recorded in the Bible some time back and today, he’s doing other new things.”

He added: ”The Bible is a record of people who came into being and are no more, so you cannot continue using it as your guide. You cannot compare whatever happened and what they did in ancient days to what we are doing now. If we are to apply whatever we read in the Bible in our present day life, then the Bible records that the daughters of lot had sex with their father, why don’t we encourage our young girls of today to also do same? One must rather cherish your dreams, the spirit in you more and not the Bible.”
