The Tano South Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress in the Ahafo Region Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong has issued a warning note to all party executives and delegates to desist from engaging in what he described as open campaigns for the parliamentary candidates or lose their voting right on the voting day and lose their positions in the party.

 

The secretary indicated the that Tano south constituency after a successful General meeting of Constituency Executives held on Friday 7th April 2023 at the party office has agreed that henceforth any Branch or Constituency Executive member found campaigning openly or accompanying any of the Parliamentary Candidate Aspirants to campaign will be suspended.

 

He clarified and termed open campaign as campaigning on social media platforms, posting of aspirant posters on WhatsApp statuses, going beyond one branch to the campaign, and the likes

 

He noted that the culprit will forfeit his/her voting right in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries therefore the party urges all members of the party to report such acts to the Constituency Elections Committee for the appropriate sanctions to be activated. “Such reports must be supported with relevant evidence” he added.
