We will not repeat mistakes we made in 2020 -Oti regional secretary, NPP

The Oti regional secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akpabeh Jonathan Manu says, members of the NPP at Oti region are striving to clinch victory on December 7.

According to the secretary, the party is taking the necessary steps to resolve issues that marred their electoral fortune in 2020.

“We have learnt alot on the 2020 elections. We made several errors, and we are not going to repeat them this time. We have begun reconciliation with some executives who were not happy with some of the decisions we made four years ago. We want to create a peaceful atmosphere” he said.

Speaking on Kumasi based Wontumi TV, on 31st May, 2024, he highlighted the significant performance of the region in National election.

“I disagree with anyone who says Oti region performed poorly in 2020 election. Our total votes were double of the figures we used to obtain when we were part of the Volta Region. Under Volta Region, we could not get 100, 000 votes but now, we have recorded over 100,000 voters. This clearly shows the massive performance of Oti” he explained.
