We should open our album for card-bearing members to also vote – Chairman Wontumi tells NPP

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has suggested to the party to open it album for all card-bearing members to also make decision in all internal elections of the party.

Speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio, the Ashanti regional chairman said, given party members the opportunity to choose whom they prefer will bring accountability, selflessness, hard work and many more qualities of the candidate out and will reduce tension, monecracy and voter apathy in the party.

He said, his decision has been discussed with the general secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua.

“Personally, I’m going to lead this campaign to allow every card-bearing member of our party to vote in all elections of the party. I’ve suggested it to the general secretary and he has also considered that as a good call and advance reform in our party. I know many other people also support my thoughts. This will reduce cost, tension and apathy after every internal elections”

“I’ll push this till it becomes reality. All card-bearing members should also contribute and decide on whom to should lead the party in every constituency” he stressed.
