Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer contender Kennedy Agyapong has arrived in Kumasi for the unveiling of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the party’s running mate for the December 7, 2024, general elections.

A video sighted by GhanaWeb shows the Assin Central Member of Parliament arriving at the Prempeh I International Airport to a rousing welcome from enthusiastic party supporters.

Kennedy Agyapong, accompanied by his wife, was mobbed by the supporters as he made his way to the airport car park.

NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is set to officially unveil Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Kumasi.

The National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last week unanimously approved the Energy Minister as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s running mate.
