VIDEO: Chief arrested for alleged sodomy at New Akrofrom

The Acting Chief of Akrofrom, a community in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwaku Amoah has been arrested for allegedly sodomizing a 17-year-old boy.

The arrest according to Kumasi-based Angel Fm was effected on  Monday October 23, 2023 after an official complaint has been lodged with the police.

According to the victim, Sunday night’s incident is not the first time the Chief has done something of that nature to him.

The report also revealed that, the victim had reported a similar incident to his sisters but because they wanted to have evidence which could not easily be challenged by the Chief, the boy agreed to another arrangement with the Chief on Sunday night prior to his arrest.

According to the account of the victim’s relations, the Chief went to the boy’s room on that night but just as they started, his victim excused himself and told him he was going to return soon for them to continue.

However, Nana Kwaku Amoah who was suspicious that the 17-year-old boy could expose him quickly left the scene.  But the relations of the victim with support from  other community members chased the Chief in his house and caused his arrest.

But for the timely intervention of some opinion leaders, he was nearly lynched.

Nana Kwaku Amoah was later handed over to the Fomena Police Command for further investigations into the matter while residents were seen hooting that him.
