They want NPP in opposition because they’re satisfied – Mrs Samira Bawumia taunts saboteurs

Mrs. Hajia Samira Bawumia, Ghana’s Second Lady has observed that flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are seeking to take the party into opposition out bitterness are doing so because they are satisfied.

She notes without mentioning names that such persons, their wives and children are feel comfortable compared to the the party’s grassroots for which reason they are threatening to ensure the NPP goes into opposition.

Speaking to party delegates in the Ashanti Region, Hajia Samira Bawumia wondered if those aspirants will have their demands met if the NPP eventually goes into opposition calling on the party’s grassroots to rise against such individuals.

“Those who are bitter and going about campaigning claiming the party will go into opposition if their demands are not met; will they get whatever they are seeking? If they are in opposition will they be able to approach any Minister or DCE for support? Maybe they, their wives, children and their families are satisfied and that is why they may be charting that path. They are comfortable so let us look sharp and vote for a leader for every generation”, she urged.

She describes the 2024 polls as a special elections for the party urging all not to be swayed by bitter talk by some persons who are threatening to take the party into opposition if their demands are not met.
