Embattled former Bantama MP and Minister of Sanitation, Works and Housing, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has eulogized Theresa Kufuor as her “mentor”.
According to the embattled former Minister, late Theresa Kufuor, former First Lady was her “mum, confidante, special friend and mentor” before her passing.
Cecilia Abena Dapaah made this known in her official tribute to the Late Former Lady, Theresa Kufuor revealing she was very close to the old woman before her death.
“My dear Maa: it is with great pain and loss that I pen these few words on your demise. I do not think mere words can describe adequately the relationship that existed between us” She wrote.
“You were my mum, confidante, special friend and mentor. You were the epitome of gentility and calmness. You had a peaceful nature. Our bond, which endured for close to four decades, is one that I will for ever cherish for its warmth and pure love.”
Cecilia Dapaah also disclosed that she was one of the key persons named by the former first lady to be directors of her foundation, the Mother and Child Community Development Foundation.
Cecilia Dapaah’s tribute comes at a time she is in the news and under investigation for alleged corruption by the Office of the Special Prosecutor after huge sums of money were found stolen from her residence by her maid.
A search by the Special Prosecutor later allegedly uncovered more cash which was seized by court order
