The 20 percent lorry fare increment still stands, don’t get intimidated – Drivers told

The Chairman of the Concern Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) has emphasized that the new 20% lorry fare increment which has received a series of backlash from the government still stands hence drivers must adhere to the directives of the Drivers union.

Speaking to Paa Willie, the National Chairman of the Concern Drivers Association of Ghana on GIFTS FM morning Show dubbed Anopa Bosuo chaired by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, he noted that the directives given to the Ghana police service by the transport ministry to cause the arrest of drivers who effect the 20% fare increment in an intimidation tactics being implemented by the NPP government to suppress the works of drivers in the country and collapse their business.

He therefore tasked all drivers to charge the new 20 per cent transport fare and ignore the directives from the transport ministry stressing that the issue at hand shouldn’t be politicized because it deals with the concerns and welfare of the drivers.

Some of the Drivers within Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono region added that the new adjustments has been effected due to the increasing rate of fuel prices in the country.
