A suspected and guard, one Theophilus Teiko Tagoe, is on the verge of undertaking a demolition of a building  again at Adjiringanor, after he  was stopped by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) sometime ago.

The suspected land  guard, who is claiming ownership of the parcel of land on which a chain of stores is under construction, is rumoured to be peddling influence, using the name of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr Geoge Akuffo-Dampare, to undertake his illegal acts .

Despite the intervention of the IGP in stopping the said land guard from carrying any unlawful demolition which brought peace and sanity, information are rife about the arrangements by the suspected land guard to move in again anytime at dawn to raise down the building.

Information available to The Herald, indicates that the alleged land guard, is finalising plans to embark on another demolition of the building in defiance and daring the IGP.

Previous demolitions, The Herald found out, has resulted in a brutal massacre of innocent persons associated with the legitimacy of the land, including a retired medical school lecturer of the University of Ghana, one Dr Prempeh.

A visit by The Herald to the site of the building, shows that workers are busily on site, but with apprehension in view of news of Teiko Tagoe’s impending demolition plans which has resulted in their brutality in the past.

The Herald is told about how innocent occupants, are dragged out of their homes and in some cases beaten by the Teiko Tagoe and assigns.

As it stands, an INTER PLEADER  has been filed in  Court  to stop any land guard activities and related demolition exercise as contained in Order 44 Rule 12 of the High Court civil procedure rules ( C.I.47)

The Nungua Traditional Council, under whose traditional jurisdiction the Adhiringar land falls, made it to the site over the weekend.

Represented by its Chief Priest, Numo Afotey Kwele Deen of the Amu Amu shrine, the traditional council does not support any acts of vandalism and land guard activities.

He said, anyone who parade and uses the name of the Nungua Council, does not have the backing of the council and should be disregarded.

He was grateful there is calm currently and urged the President, John Dramani Mahama and the IGP to continue to maintain peace and order around the Adjiringanor and East Legon environs.

He again called on the IGP to dig into the operations of two police officers , one Mr Arhin and Mr Danso, who are stationed at the Greater Accra Headquarters and  are said to be allies of the alleged land guard .
