Former President John Dramani Mahama has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2024 general elections.
The newly-elected flagbearer of the NDC said the governing party must start preparing its hand over notes and be prepared to render an accountability for their stewardships.
Delivering a formal acceptance speech after his victory in the presidential primaries of the NDC over the on Saturday May 13, Mr Mahama said “they must start preparing their hand over notes and get ready to account to the people for their stewardship.”
He added “Ours will be a progressive government that provides equal opportunities for decent and sustainable livelihoods.
“By working together with Ghanaians we shall turn Ghana’s hopeless and gloom today into a better and brighter tomorrow.”
He further commended the Electoral Commission (EC) for successfully supervising and conducting the presidential and parliamentary primaries of the NDC.
Mr Mahama who at University for Development Studies (UDS) said “I also wish to thank the staff of the EC for their support in making our parliamentary and presidential primaries a resounding success.
“My special thanks go to Mr Serebuor Quaicoe and his district election director for working over and above the call of duty to ensure a successful election.”
