The member of Parliament for Suame Constituency and majority leader says all is set for members of Parliament to recite the National pledge during parliamentary sessions.

Speaking to Oheneba Nana Asiedu on the Wontumi Morning show, this amendment is to inculcate a sense of national pride and identity amongst members.

“This is not a new thing in the world. Countries such as America, Germany, Holland, Australia and Canada practice this. That is why there is a need to adopt it to strengthen our bond” He said.

He However added that when this exercise begins with members of Parliament, it will not be cumbersome for Ghanaians to embrace patriotism. The Patriotic level will be achieved in its pinnacle.
