Former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu has expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for the opportunity he granted him
to serve as minister.
The Dormaa Central MP indicated that he was first informed by the president before he was axed.
According to him, the president provided justifiable reasons before he removed him as his health minister.
He asserted that the reshuffling is part of efforts by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to break the eight-year jinx.
“This reshuffling will help me do something different in my life. If I tell you the number of times I have seen the sun, you will marvel. This is because I remained dedicated to the job I was given as a minister.
“I am proud of what I have achieved as a minister. I achieved a sterling record. I have no regret. I know what I have achieved. I also know the party knows that I have done my best.
I was appointed and did my best. It got to the point where the president called me and told me he needed fresh faces to help us bring some new changes to how we do things. I agreed with him, and I have expressed my gratitude to him.”
