Political Science lecturer at the University of Cape Coast(UCC) in the Central Region, Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, has criticized Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder of Glorious Woves Power Ministries International, accusing him of employing psychology in his political predictions.

Dr. Otchere, while acknowledging his lack of expertise in spiritual matters, characterized Owusu Bempah’s recent statement on the potential return of former President John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general elections as more of a psychological perspective than a prophecy.

Dr. Otchere asserted that Owusu Bempah’s declaration about the removal of spiritual obstacles preventing Mahama from winning the presidency in 2020 was a strategic psychological maneuver rather than a divine revelation.

“Owusu Bempah is skillfully presenting the idea of change as a prophetic vision while being fully cognizant of the ever-shifting political dynamics.”

Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s mid-day news on Thursday, November 9, 2023, the political science lecturer emphasized the importance of understanding the role of psychology in political discourse.

According to him, Owusu Bempah is skillfully presenting the idea of change as a prophetic vision while being fully cognizant of the ever-shifting political dynamics.

In assessing the situation, Dr. Otchere highlighted the role played by psychology in shaping political perceptions and underscored how individuals, including religious leaders, contribute to the narrative of change in the political arena.
