The first train for Ghana Railways to operate both regional and long-distance lines arrived in the country from Poland about two weeks ago
Engineers working on first unit of two modern trains procured by government have successfully completed assembling and installation of the trains on the railway track, Minister for Railways Development John Peter Amewu has said.
According to him, electrical and mechanical tests would soon be carried out to pave the way for the practical testing of the trains on the tracks.

Sharing update on progress of work on the installation on Facebook on Tuesday (16 April), Amewu said the government is committed to revamping railway transport in the country.
