Bawumia Must Win (BMW), a collation of the New Patriotic Party Youth Groups supporting the presidential ambitions of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has dismissed claims of wrongdoing in the mobilisation of vehicles for campaigns for the Vice President.

Photographs of pickup vehicles branded with campaign images of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia have gone viral on social and are purported to have been procured in large quantities with state funds.

The cases which have been dispersed by the supportive of Bawumia wing of the NPP supposedly exuded from individuals from the Public Majority rule Congress including a few individuals from parliament.

An assertion endorsed by the initiative of the gathering said the vehicles were given by confidential people who have bought into the goals and official possibilities of Dr Bawumia.

“The number of branded pick-ups are Six (6), and not One-hundred (100) as alleged and
Publicized by the NDC Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Hon. Rockson
Dafeamekpor and his collaborators.

The vehicles (Pick-ups) in question were neither bought, branded and paid for by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia nor his campaign office. The vehicles were not and could not have been bought with proceeds from a yet-to-arrive IMF Funds as mischievously put out by the NDC and asserted by the internal saboteurs,” the statement said.

It further disclosed that “The vehicles belong to a group of individuals who believe and share in the vision of Dr. Bawumia. The vehicles are to be used and returned to the owners after the campaign”.

The group noted that the claims and allegations leveled against the Vice President are repulsive and should be ignored while adding that “Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains
Focused, and will not be distracted by negative commentary by political desperados”.
