NPP Is United In Ashanti Region; Disregard False Allegations- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has debunked allegations of a divided front in the Ashanti region.

The Ashanti Governor mentioned that there’s no way NPP in Ashanti region, will be divided regardless of whatever situation. However, the reason for which he has decided to remain silence is due to a strategy he has adopted as the Ashanti regional Chairman of the party.

“Even God knows we are united as a party in the region…NPP is united in Ashanti region, and I will therefore urge that Ghanaians debunk any allegations…as the campaign manager or Ashanti regional campaign for the party for NPP, it’s my duty to ensure that peace prevails, and that is the reason you will realize that nowadays, I choose to remain silence. I fight battles with silence…Silence has a voice and I choose to speak with silence”, he said on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV. 

“I will only speak when I find it necessary, because the strategy adopted is silence…I will only speak when I know that the words will be louder than my silence”, he added.

He went further to explain that he’s only speaking now because of the Ejisu Elections.

“With the grace of God and the tradition we have as a party, the togetherness and love we’ve always enjoyed will remained and with this, we will break-the-eight-year jinx as a party”, he added.
