NPP Boys Vandalize Party Office Over Nomination Forms

Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sagnarigu constituency, have destroyed party property over the refusal of constituency executives to issue them a nomination form.

The angry NPP supporters destroyed the party office doors, chairs, glass windows and other properties.

According to the NPP youth, the constituency executives are scheming to ensure that the Northern Regional Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Madam Felicia Tetteh goes unopposed in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries.

They have however, sent a warning to the constituency executives that they would resist any attempt to impose a candidate on them and threatened to vote against that candidate.

“We know the constituency executives have been given money and so they are running away and refusing to come to the office to issue the nomination forms to us. They are trying to impose Felicia Tetteh on us but we won’t agree and we will vote against her if they impose her on us. The party has a constitution and it is every party member’s constitutional right to pick up a nomination form,” they said.

Madam Felicia Tetteh was the 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate in the Sagnarigu constituency and has picked a nomination form to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
