The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Honourable Akwasi Konadu, has, in partnership with the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications, donated 10 set of computers, a three-duty printer, and a projector to St. Hubert Roman Catholic Junior High School, amounting to 100,000 Ghana Cedis.

The presentation which was made on Wednesday, 18th October 2023, formed part of an initiative by the lawmaker to promote Information and Technology education in the area. Speaking in an interview, Honourable Konadu advised the pupils to make positive use of the practical knowledge they would acquire, and ensure the safety of the gadgets.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Jacob Amike, expressed his gratitude – and that of the 800 pupils in the school – to Honourable Konadu for coming to their aid. According to him, the teaching of Information and Communication Technology has, basically, been theoretical, making it difficult for the pupils to grasp the basic concepts of the subject. He has, therefore, assured that the school would make the best out of the items presented by the donors.

Meanwhile the New Patriotic Party Chairman for Manhyia North Constituency, Honourable Kwaku Oppong, lauded Honorable Akwasi Konadu for the gesture. He therefore urged the youths to embrace the new technological age for increased productivity.
