President John Dramani Mahama has appointed former Chief of Staff and Minister for the Interior, Prosper Douglas Bani, as National Security Advisor to the President. Mr. Bani comes into the position with an extensive experience and expertise in governance and security.
Similarly, the President has also appointed Commissioner of Police (Rtd) Nathan Kofi Boakye as Director of Operations at the Office of the President where he will oversee security operational matters.
The Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a statement said that DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak will serve as the National Security Coordinator.
Charles Kipo has also been named as the Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) formerly known as Bureau of National Intelligence ( BNI).
