“I’m The David In NPP” – Kennedy Agyapong Cries Out to Delegates

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central and a leading contender in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has compared himself to David in the Holy Bible.

Displaying a deep passion for sharing the Gospel, Hon. Agyapong compared the the inroads he has made in wooing the delegates to a scenario where a prominent King in the Bible, ‘King Saul’ disobeyed God in Israel and was attacked by Goliath.

According to him, it took God’s favor through Samuel to anoint his son to become the King of Israel but all the seven who were presented were rejected by God until David came into the picture and was ordained by God to lead Israel.

Speaking to a group of NNP Delegates in the Jaman North Constituency of the Bono Region, Mr. Agyapong who compared his life story and personality to David in the Bible said “In NPP I’m your David, a hopeless man. It is overwhelming how God uses me to impact society; the long hours our hardworking delegates have been in the scorchy sun waiting for me is a testimony and unbelievable. I’m making this reference to glorify God and to assure you that if you vote for me I’ll break the 8 for the NPP”

He challenged the delegates to give him the opportunity to win the 2024 elections. “I’ll beat Mahama hands down so please believe in me and vote for me”, he added

The lawmaker will come up against other contenders like Alan Kyerematen, Vice President Bawumia, Francis Addai-Nimoh, Kofi Konadu Apraku in the race to lead the NPP into the 2024 elections.

Meanwhile the Party today (Tuesday) officially opened nominations for the orphan constituencies nationwide.
