Alan Kyerematen, independent presidential candidate in the 2024 election has stated that he will appoint a maximum of 40 ministers, should he be given the nod to manage the affairs of the Ghanaian economy.

Mr. Kyerematen disclosed this in an interview with angel FM’s Kwame Tanko, in Kumasi, last week Friday.

The interview was part of his media tour of the Ashanti region, after he had successfully organised a National Economic Summit, which discussed how to ensure economic progress from 2025 onwards.

According to Mr Kyerematen, the summit was a demonstration of his commitment to fostering consensus building as a leader. A quality, he believes, will make the difference in Ghana’s long term economic planning.

This Economic Summit, according to him, was based on his Great Transformational Plan (GTP), which is a fifteen (15) point plan for national transformation.

The summit discussed among others, how to fix the macro-economy, how to industrialise through value addition to our natural resources, how to create new pillars of growth and how to create strategic anchor industries to diversify our export base.

Also discussed was Agricultural Revolution through enhancing agricultural production and productivity and last but not least, making Ghana the tourist destination of choice in Africa.
