Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency in the Ga South Municipal District in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, Sylvester Tetteh has revealed that he supports Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party(NPP) November 4 Delegates Conference.

Making his announcement on Metro TV, he disclosed that it was after consultation with his constituency executives and party elders, stating that Dr. Bawumia would make a good president.

“It is obvious from the campaigns we waged and what is happening today. I have engaged extensively with my constituency executives; people within and without. I think that I am making a firm commitment that I will support Dr. Bawumia for the November 4 elections and I believe that he will make a good president”, he disclosed on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV.

According to him, he and the party have to move on reiterating the Vice President will make a better president which informed his latest decision.

The lawmaker has earlier indicated that should Alan Kyeremanten decide to support a candidate in the November 4, 2023 election, his followers will not follow him hook, line and sinker.

He says if he throws his weight behind a candidate, his followers will also have to think about his choice and make the right decision that will suit them.

“Alan Kyeremanten respects me because he did not call on me to join his campaign. I joined his campaign because, from where I sit, I see some things and thought it wise to join him. He hasn’t communicated his next move, but if he does and he throws his weight behind any of the candidates, we, his followers, will not just follow suit. We will weigh the pros and cons before we decide whether to follow him or not,” he said.

Sylvester Tetteh said followers of Alan Kyeremanten have resolved to rally behind the elephant to ensure that the NPP breaks the eight rather than harbor hate for the political party that made them.
