Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Suhum Constituency, Frederick Opare-Ansah has revealed how the Assin Central Member of Parliament(MP) Hon Kennedy Agyapong once had to abandon Parliamentary duties after insulting officials from the National Media Commission (NCA).

According to  Mr. Opare-Ansah, Hon Kennedy Agyapong had to abandon his duty as the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee because he was not able to control his temper and went ahead to insult officials from the National Media Commission (NMC) during a meeting.

He claimed that, Kennedy Agyapong, instead of focusing on issues on the table to be discussed at the Committee, was talking about his private business.

“During a Parliamentary Select Committee sitting while the NCA officials were present, then he (Kennedy Agyapong)  was talking about his personal license at the committees to the extent of insulting them, quarreled with them and could not chair the Committee anymore so I had to take over as the Vice Chairman”. Mr. Opare-Ansah revealed this in an interview with Wontumi Radio in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

“Always it is about him, it is never about anybody else,” he added.

Speaking on attacks by Kennedy Agyapong on members of the Bawumia Campaign team, Mr Frederick Opare-Ansah insisted that, “some of us we could easily respond to most of his attacks.

“Somebody like me, some of his attacks were directed at me. He went to Suhum and accused me of taking bribe from the NDC. But I will advise him not to threaten but rather go ahead with whatever he wants to say. Why do you always want to threaten people? But I have not taken bribe from anywhere”, he added.
