A former deputy general secretary for New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahene, has wished Alan Kyeremanten well on his next political career.

“We are on a journey together and if one decides to back down, we need to move ahead and it’s not about insults and criticisms,” he said.

According to Mr. Boahen, though Alan Kyeremanten had been an integral member of the ruling party, his exit from the NPP will have no effect on their unity front.

“…Alan backing down from the party shouldn’t be used as a trump card to tarry some of us,” he he said on Monday, September 25, 2023, on the Angel Morning Show transmitted via Angel FM/TV.

He, however stated that regarding his support for Bawumia, the NPP is not perturbed about the current happenings as to whether Alan Kyeremanten forms alliance with the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama and the Convention People’s Party ahead of the 2024 general elections.

He reiterated that Dr. Bawumia stands tall among his colleague contestants for the NPP’s flagbearer race on November 4 and the 2024 presidential polls.
