Video: Ghana’s New Train Crash: Arrest Mahama, NDC executive As suspects – Chairman Wontumi tells IGP

The Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi, has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare to apprehend former president, John Dramani Mahama.

He believes that, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Mahama orchestrated the train accident.

Ghana’s newly procured train from Poland, which was meant to work on Tema-Mpakadan railway was involved in an accident during a test run in the Asuogyaman district on April, 18, 2024.

The train was reported to have encountered a truck on its rail pathway.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 19th April, 2024, he emphatically stated that it was a ploy by the opposition to cause the accident.

“NDC conspired with their branch member to intentionally park its kia truck on the path of the train. Why is it even an NDC member? And why should it come from a branch manager”? He questioned.

He further reiterated the efforts of the NDC to wreak havoc on government’s properties.

“We were all here when Ofosu Ampofo and Sammy Gyamfi said that their only chance of winning December 7 elections is to create a chaotic environment in the nation. That is what they have started. They are the same people behind “Dumsor” he added.

He has therefore called for the arrest of John Mahama.
