Leader for the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen says Ghanaians are clamouring for change because they are tired of promises from both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He says currently, what the people of Ghana need are not manifestoes from these political parties but rather a plan.
“What Ghanaians need is not a manifesto. These promises are in the manifesto but a manifesto promise must be backed by a plan. There is no point in just saying it is about digitization, where is the plan behind that promise? 24-hour promise, where is the plan behind that promise?
So people want you to go beyond your manifestoes, they want a plan. When Nkrumah introduced the seven-year development plan, there was clarity about the way forward in terms of our development. Whether you agreed with it or not, there was a plan and so this is what the majority of Ghanaians are looking for,” he said on Pan African Television
Alan Kyerematen indicated that apart from the plan to back manifestoes, there is a clamour for a change in the attitude of Ghanaians.
He says the indiscipline in the system will have to change if any progress will be made in Ghana’s growth and development
