The state of Ghana currently is not what the people desire, a former National Security Advisor Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah (RTD), has said.
To him, Ghana is currently in a mess due to economic hardships.
“The country is in a mess, the Akufo-Addo I believed in, in 1998 isn’t the same person today,” he said on Hot Issues on TV3 on Sunday, June 16 with Kemmini Amanor.
The former Chief of Defence Staff further expressed his disappointment, with the level of development in Ghana currently.
He says he expected Ghana to be a much better place than it is at the moment.
For him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that have governed the country in the Fourth Republic have failed the country.
He said “I am a disappointed person, I thought Ghana would be a better place than we are today.”
He added, “When you vote for parliamentarians and president we are voting for them to run Ghana for our benefit, not for their benefit.”
Asked how he would describe politics today, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah answered “It is just to make money.”
