About five communities within the Buem constituency of the Oti region received two hundred and twenty two bags of cement from their member of parliament Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams.
The Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, has fulfilled his promise to ensure equal distribution of development across his constituency by donating bags of cement to five communities to support their community-assisted projects.
The social amenities, such as health centres, schools, and teachers’ bungalows, are crucial to the development of any community, especially those in rural-rural areas.
Even though the MP has provided and supported many developmental works of these communities, the MP again donated two hundred and twenty two bags of cement to support their Community projects.
Some of the Communities that received the donation are Nsuta 50 bags towards the Nsutaman health project, Kute received 50 bags for the Kute community center project. Also, 50 bags of cement were donated to Buem-Odumase for the Buem-Odumase health project, while Bodada got 20 bags towards the Bodada Presby SHS project. New Baika received 30 bags for the teacher’s quarters, totally 20 as the mp previously donated 20 bags towards the same project.
During the presentation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams urged the community leaders in charge of the projects to ensure they use the cement for the exact purposes it was meant for and complete the project within the stipulated time while observing quality and safety measures.
Mr Sibaway Abubakar, the Assembly Member for Odome electoral area, Jasikan, represented Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams during the presentation.
Speaking to the assemblyman who represented the bags of cement on behalf of the MP ,he said,this is a step towards achieving sustainable development in the Buem Constituency.
He said, the MP is poised to make Buem constituency onw of the enviable constituency across and Oti region and the country at at large.
He added that, the MP is committed to improving the infrastructure and the quality of life of residents in the rural-rural areas.
Meanwhile the partnership between Members of Parliament and communities is critical to achieve sustainable development.
The residents of these five Communities could not hide their joy but to express their heart felt to the MP and pledged their support for the MP to deliver his promise to them.
According to them, they will continue to vote for the MP until he said he will not go again.
