Justin Frimpong Kodua(JFK) has taken a swipe at the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama regarding his stance on the upcoming elections.
According to him; “Mahama is the first opposition leader to shy away from a debate, and that’s concerning.”
He believes this avoidance undermines the role of the opposition in the electoral process, making it a significant error if former President John Dramani Mahama were to win, even though he considers such an outcome unlikely.
“The past clearly indicates the future,” Kodua emphasized, referring to what he perceives as Mahama’s failures during his previous tenure. He added, “He lacks the ability to provide meaningful solutions for the challenges facing our nation.”
Kodua characterized the prospect of Mahama’s return as a “major misstep,” asserting that the NPP has consistently outperformed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) across various sectors. “Our track record speaks for itself,” he confidently stated, suggesting that the election is essentially secured for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP.
Presidential candidate debates often revolve around critical issues that shape the nation’s political landscape. Central to these discussions is the economy, where candidates critique each other’s performance and propose plans for growth, job creation, and managing inflation. Corruption is another hot topic, with candidates aiming to establish their integrity and commitment to transparency in governance.
Infrastructure development is frequently highlighted, with candidates presenting their visions for improving essential services like roads, healthcare, and education. They often critique past administrations for failing to address these pressing needs, while also discussing social policies that focus on access to quality education and healthcare.
Youth employment is a significant concern, especially given the country’s young population. Candidates outline their strategies for job creation and support for entrepreneurship, emphasizing vocational training and investment in technology sectors. Security also plays a crucial role in the debate, as candidates address issues related to public safety and their plans to enhance law enforcement.
