The Northern Electricity Distribution Company(NEDCo), distributors of electricity in the northern sector of Ghana, have announced scheduled power outages in some parts of the Upper East and North East Regions to enable the company to carry out maintenance work on some of its high tension poles between Navrongo and Sandema.

According to a statement to consumers on the planned power cuts, Builsa North and Builsa South Districts in the Upper East Region and the Mankarigu-Maoduri District in the North East Region are the places to be affected. The power cuts scheduled for every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day will last from Saturday, January 13, 2024 to Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
