Former Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bolga East Constituency, Mathew Silas Amoah are on a collision course as to who has constructed more boreholes than the other.
The NPP candidate has over the period belittled the contributions of the lawmaker to the development of the area, indicating that it is lagging behind and should have advanced.
Mathew Silas Amoah who is urging residents to kick Dr. Dominic Ayine out in 2024 polls and bring him to represent the constituency, argues that though he is not a lawmaker he has overwhelmingly performed.
But the legal brain who would not take any of that, noted that almost every significant development witnessed in the constituency is creditable to him and his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“If you do 2 boreholes, compare to someone who has done over 60 boreholes and you go and sit on the radio and say that you are performing, what kind of performance is that?” he questioned.
“Your government is in power, they have done boreholes that they cannot even complete, the NPP government dug boreholes around this constituency, they have not fixed pumps and the communities are not even accessing water”. He hit back adding that he does not stand on the same pedestal as the NPP candidate as far as development of the area is concerned.
