Senior Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Akwasi Amakye Boateng has urged Ghanaian teachers to flee the country to find a better working conditions elsewhere

 

 

According to the political analyst, various governments the country has had over the years have mostly neglected the welfare of the Ghanaian teacher.

“Years ago, people said the reward for a teachers was in heaven, but I tell you, their reward is in the western world. Other countries need the service of the Ghanaian teacher badly. They are now hard to find so if you are a teacher don’t stay here and die. Dr Amakye Boateng said this in a discussion on Kumasi based Angel FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

“The youth among us shouldn’t stay here to be disgraced, your reward is in the western world”, he added.

Speaking on Angel FM in a discussion on the show “Angel in Morning” Dr Amakye Boateng insisted that teachers also deserve better in their own country adding that they need to receive the reward for their good job right on this earth and not otherwise.

Dr Amakye Boateng made this statement while speaking on report that suggests that Ghana in recent years has lost a huge number of teachers.

The lecturer blames President Akufo-Addo for the woes of Ghanaian teachers who no survive from hand to mouth.
