“Covid 19 made us an invisible opposition in 2020” the district chief executive for Sekyere Kumawu, Samuel Addai Agyekum has stated.

Accordingly to him, the virus was one of the challenging factors that derailed the state and its economy.

Speaking on Talk Ghana Show on Kumasi based Wontumi TV, on 1st March, 2024, he explained that, the pandemic could not be seen, but contributed to the loss of some seats of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“Every political party that was in power lost its seat in 2020, across the world due to the pandemic. They encountered the visible and invisible opposition. In Ghana the invisible opposition ( corona virus) was on the rise such that, President Akufo Addo made strides to combat it” Mr Agyekum stressed.
