The concerned members of Chiraa, who have come together to form an association named Chiraa My Home (CMH) in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region, have initiated a Street Lighting Project to beautify the Chiraa township.

The project, which was self-funded through member donations, has significantly reduced the darkness the town was experiencing.

Contributions were drawn from citizens of Chiraa both at home and abroad, especially those in Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and across the world.

The Chief of Chiraa, Berima Mintah Afari II, has commended the association members for their bold decision to bring about change in the Chiraa Community, particularly in addressing the street lighting situation.

He therefore encourages the members to continue their good work to further progress the town.
