Majority Leader of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has admonished members of the ruling party to focus on selling the achievements of the party as that’s key to breaking the 8.

Afenyo-Markin indicated that the Akufo-Addo administration has done so much that must be sold to the masses through constant communications

Sharing his views on Peace 104.3 FM’s Kokrokoo hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi, on Monday, 18 March 2024, Hon. Markin indicated that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration has done so much that must be sold to the masses through constant communications on radio and television to enable the party win the 2024 elections.

“Breaking the 8 requires a bold consistent communication of our success stories” he stated.

The Majority Leader also stated that the NPP administration has performed better than the previous NDC administration in all sectors of the economy.

What remains to be done, he noted, is for the party and government to tell the Ghanaian electorate what have been achieved so far, and that, he said, will enable the party break the 8.

He also used the opportunity to clarify his position on the lack of succession plan of the NDC and the fact that he was not referring to the old age of their running mate, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

He further emphasized that Dr. Bawumia represents the future and for that to be realized, the party must win the 2024 elections for him to showcase why he is the embodiment of hope for the next generation.

“If we don’t communicate our achievements to Ghanaians, we shall struggle to break the 8. We must make conscious efforts to sell our stories, for we have a story to tell for our stewardship” he added.
