Better To Have A Clean Muslim As President Than A Christian Who Is A “Thief And Ashawo”- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said it will be better to have an incorruptible Muslim as President than a Christian who is a thief and ‘ashawo’ to wit gigolo.

Making an appearance on Movement TV and Wontumi Radio in Accra, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, stated that “it will be better to go in for a Muslim who will bring improvement in your life than a former president who is a thief and ‘ashawo’”.

His comment stems on the back of the religious bigotry statement which has been attributed to Sam George, a legislator aligned with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Sam Nartey George, has described the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Chief Imam and other well respected Muslims as religious prostitutes.

According to him, the vice president, Chief Imam and some other Muslims appear to profess both the Christian and the Muslim faiths at the same time. According to him, they are often seen in both churches and mosques for which reason, they are religious prostitutes.
