“Anyone who saw Kumasi under NDC’s administration would not wish for Mahama’s second coming” the deputy director of protocol, for the New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Frimpong has stated.
This, he said, is because, the former president and flagbearer for the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama neglected Ashanti region, regarding developmental projects.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 22nd April, 2024, Mr Frimpong revealed that, John Mahama did not even add a block, to the 800 bed facility at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), which was undertaken by John Agyekum Kufuor .
“Mahama abandoned the 800 bed facility which was initiated by Kufuor in 2006. He did not add a ‘single’ block to the project in his eight year tenure.
He also did not complete Kumawu, Tepa and Konongo hospitals. It is the NPP government whom has finished these projects” he said.
He However eulogised president Akufo Addo-for prioritising healthcare delivery especially in the Ashanti region.
He finally entreated Ghanaians to appreciate the immense contribution by the NPP government towards the health sector.
