The Minority Leader in Parliament, Cassiel Ato Forson has petitioned Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, requesting for a live broadcast of proceedings in the ongoing ambulance trial.
In a letter date Thursday (30 May) addressed to the Chief Justice, lawyers of the Minority Leaders said the request is in line with recent development that has impacted the public perception and administration of the case.
“We represent and hold the instructions of Honourable Dr Cassiel Ato Forson (our Client) in respect of the above-referenced case which is pending before the High Court, Accra (Financial and Economic Division 2).”
“We write to formally request the live broadcast of all subsequent court proceedings in the case of Republic Vs Cassiel Ato Forson & 2 Ors) (Case No: CR/0198/2022). This request is made on behalf of our client in the light of recent development that have significantly impacted public perception of the case and the administration of justice,” the letter said.
