NPP Flagbearership: Try your luck next time – Adomako Baafi to the gang of 9

Former Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr. Yaw Adomoko Baafi is optimistic that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will emerge as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

He is therefore urging the other gang of 9 who are reportedly scheming to present a challenger against the Vice President to try their luck next time since the current race is a forgone conclusion.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia with all the opportunities that existed at the time former President John Agyekum Kufuor discovered him, agreed to return home and serve his country.

“He returned home to serve his country under Kufuor, was picked as running mate in 2008 and 2012 and despite the defeats, he never gave up on the party. When it was time for someone to be mounting the witness box, he willingly agreed. He continued to show loyalty for us to win the 2016 polls”, he recounted on Kumasi-based Okay Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Mr. Yaw Adomako Baafi wondered why in all the struggles no one criticized him for the great work he was doing for the party but the same voices are now loud he is seeking to be the party’s flagbearer ahead of the 2024 polls.

“The Bible admonishes us to live in peace with everyone. Jesus also said that all may be one. The signals on the ground is shows it is possible and I would urge the rest to try their luck the next time”, he advised.
