The Assistant Headmaster, of Academics for Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Bechem) in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Kusi Marfo Joseph has sounded words of caution to the newly admitted SHS one students to take into consideration their education by staying away from streets and any form absenteeism to ensure their target in education is achieved.

Speaking in a sideline interview during a matriculation ceremony to welcome the SHS one students to the School, Mr. Kusi Marfo Joseph said that the purpose of their presence in the school is to learn and students can effectively learn when they become punctual in the classroom and stay away from absenteeism. He also urged parents and guardians not to entertain their wards in any form that will deprive them of their purpose in education indicating that parents must ensure they prevent their wards from staying home during school-going hours.

The Headmaster of the School, Mr. Edwin Odame Amoah advised the newly admitted students to chase their purpose in the school which according to him is for them to sit up and learn hard. He said a lot of things sometimes try to drag the concentrations and purposes of many new students being peer pressure and influence which he advised them not to fall victim to those negative forces.

He, therefore pleaded with the students to be much more concentrated on their academic activities since that is the main reason behind their move to Bechem and for that matter PRESEC.

On His Part, Rev. Gilbert Ntow Asare, the School Chaplain who doubles as the CLAN coordinator of Bechem Presbyterian Church charged the students to be more vigilant and God-fearing because a lot of ungodly activities such as prostitution, occultism, and spiritism do happen in various Senior High schools of which Bechem PRESEC is part hence the need for these SHS ones to stay awake from all evil activities.
